Company Update | Evers & Sons Apprentices Complete NCCER CORE Curriculum

Evers & Sons takes pride in developing the next generation of skilled laborers. We are excited to announce a significant milestone in our Construction Craft Laborer Apprenticeship Program—14 of our apprentices have successfully completed the NCCER CORE Curriculum, marking the first major step in their journey toward becoming highly trained professionals in the energy construction industry.

What is the NCCER CORE Curriculum?

The NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) CORE Curriculum is the foundation of all NCCER craft certifications. It provides apprentices with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in construction safety, trade math, hand and power tools, construction drawings, material handling, and basic employability skills. Completing this curriculum is a key achievement that demonstrates a strong grasp of the fundamental skills required in the construction industry.

Breaking Down Their Achievement

Our apprentices have put in incredible effort to reach this milestone, and their accomplishments speak for themselves:

– Completion of 10 NCCER CORE Modules – Covering the foundational skills required for success in the field.
– Classroom & Hands-On Training – Surpassing standard Related Technical Instruction (RTI) requirements, ensuring our apprentices are well-prepared for real-world job site challenges.
– 15,500+ Total On-the-Job Training (OTJ) Hours Logged – Demonstrating dedication, perseverance, and a hands-on approach to mastering their trade.
– 100% Commitment to Safety & Skill Development – Reinforcing the core values of Evers & Sons, where safety and excellence always come first.

This achievement would not have been possible without the leadership and mentorship of our NCCER Instructor, Lino Sanchez, and the experienced Journeymen who have guided and supported our apprentices throughout their training.

What’s Next for Our Apprentices?

With the NCCER CORE Curriculum now behind them, these apprentices are advancing to the Construction Craft Laborer portion of the program. This next phase will allow them to deepen their expertise through:

– Advanced hands-on training in key construction skills
– More complex fieldwork under the guidance of seasoned professionals
– Expanded safety protocols and best practices to ensure job site readiness

Why This Matters

At Evers & Sons, we recognize that investing in apprenticeship and workforce development is critical not just for our company, but for the future of the energy construction industry as a whole. Skilled labor is the backbone of every successful project, and by equipping our apprentices with the right training, we are ensuring that our teams continue to meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.

A Message to Our Apprentices

To our 14 apprentices who have reached this achievement: Congratulations! Your dedication, discipline, and passion for your craft have brought you to this point, and we can’t wait to see all that you will accomplish in the next phase of your training.

Your hard work is shaping the future of energy construction, and we’re honored to support you every step of the way.
