June is National Safety Month, an initiative led by the National Safety Council (NSC) to spotlight critical safety topics across the country. Each week of June focuses on a different aspect of safety, and this week’s theme is Continuous Improvement.
Continuous Improvement means never settling. It’s about learning from near misses, re-evaluating how we do things, and always asking: “Can this be safer? More efficient?”
Here are a few ways our team is implementing Continuous Improvement throughout the company:
- Learning from the Field: We analyze incident reports, near misses, and Risk Observation Cards (ROCs) to identify trends and improve processes before accidents happen.
- Employee Feedback
- Training & Refreshers: We regularly update our training programs and safety practices to reflect the latest industry standards, lessons learned, and more.
Improvement isn’t always about major changes— often, it’s the small, consistent adjustments that make the biggest impact. Safety is an ongoing process, and progress comes from our willingness to learn, adapt, and refine how we work. By staying proactive, we can significantly reduce the risk of incidents and create a safer environment for all of our employees.
