Educational | Beat the Heat: Protecting Our Crews During Extreme Temperatures

As temperatures begin to climb, Evers & Sons is taking proactive steps to protect our crews and reinforce our commitment to safety in rising temperatures. Here’s what we’re currently doing, and planning, to help our team stay safe and healthy on the job:

Hydration Stations- We’ve increased access to cold water and electrolyte-enhanced drinks across all active job sites to ensure our crews stay properly hydrated throughout the day.

Cooling Trailers- Air-conditioned cooling trailers are placed at larger work sites, offering a much-needed break from the heat during rest periods.

Cooling Towels- We’ve distributed reusable cooling towels to field crews to provide personal relief from high temperatures during outdoor work.

Heat Illness Prevention Training- Toolbox talks and morning safety meetings now include heat stress awareness, symptoms of heat-related illnesses, and prevention techniques.

By combining smart planning, essential resources, and continuous training, we’re making sure our teams have the tools and support they need to beat the heat safely.
