Platform Topside Replacement

This project involved the installation and field welding of all 2” through 36” process piping (class 150-900#), open and closed drain piping, and utility piping. The project includes installing all prefabricated piping during short windows within the platform deck erection sequence for the cellar deck, utility deck, metering deck, and pump deck. This project also featured living quarters, a helideck, and crane lifting equipment.

This platform sets within the Garden Banks unit in the Gulf of Mexico, where it gathers meters and transfers oil and natural gas.

Scope Details:

• 868 bolt-ups
• 12,165 feet of piping installation
• 325 valve sets
• 555 welds
• All prefabricated piping rigged and flown 100’-120’ in the air for installation
• Majority of piping fit and bull rigged between deck levels
• Estimated 60,000 manhours to complete

Evers & Sons’ scope includes the installation and field welding of piping, bolt-ups, valve sets, and welds, with all prefabricated piping being rigged and flown for installation across multiple deck levels.
